Peed challenges Miller to debate in Senate race

Republican candidate for Maryland’s District 27 Senate seat Jesse Peed has thrown down the gauntlet to longtime incumbent Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller Jr.

Peed, a veteran and small business owner from Prince George’s County, issued a written challenge for a public debate to Miller (D-Calvert, Charles, Prince George’s).

Upper Marlboro resident Jesse Peed, 57, is no stranger to politics. His family has deep democratic roots in Prince George’s County as his grandmother, Elsie Peed, was a lifelong Democrat and polling judge in Maryland.
